Card games (130/180)

R went to parkour.

Everyone attended their MAHC classes.

D went to Circus.

J went to Hip Hop.

J and D got interested in learning some Spanish.  Here is J working with her Spanish learning app and copying the names of the numbers:



Everyone attended their religious education classes.

W and R worked with LOF.  D and J played Addition War, Make 10, and Blackjack to work on adding up to 10 and adding single digits.

W read independently.  R read with support, completing The Bombing of Pearl Harbor, 1941 (I Survived, #4)The Bombing of Pearl Harbor, 1941 by Lauren Tarshis.  D practiced reading, and J mastered

R went to parkour and J went to ballet.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.

D attended circus.

We attended the School Free Players Super Panto!

W played D and D.

All the kids attended their religious education classes.

W read independently.  R read with support.  D mastered Bump! (More Bob Books For Young Readers, Set II, Book 2)Bump! by Bobby Lynn Maslen.  J practiced reading.

W and R worked with LOF.  D completed

and J completed Life of Fred: ApplesLife of Fred: Apples by Stanley F. Schmidt.  We began playing some math facts focused card games.  Best one so far is Addition War.  Just like War only you play two cards at a time, and have to add them together to find out who takes the hand!

Texas week 2 (119/180)

This week was more cousins, crafting, bouncing, and a trip to a fantastic playground:





Followed by 2 long days in the car.

And then R, D, and J attended their religious education classes.  D had a part in a small play about King John Sigismund for the whole congregation.  She was also voted president of her class!

Trampolines (116/180)

We celebrated New Year's Eve and New Year's Day with cousins and friends in MD and VA:



Then we drove for two days to get to Austin, TX.  W and R listened to a lot of Unobscured, a podcast about the Salem Witch Trials.

In Austin, we did a lot of trampolining, playing with cousins, and crafting.  







We attended the United Methodist church one of the kids' aunts is currently working at, enjoying music and ritual.

Christmas! (114/180)

We celebrated Christmas at the No-Rehearsal Nativity Pageant, in which Day played a Wise Person and Juniper played an Angel. 

R, D and J decorated gingerbread houses.




D and J did MUCH gymnastic practice on their new gym mat for the living room.



Preparing for travel next week, things other than the holiday were kept simple.

W, R, D, and J worked with LOF.

D worked with Handwriting Without Tears.  J worked with Explode the Code.

J turns 6 + Nativities + Slime (105/180)

R went to Parkour.

J went to dance.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.


W and R went to the Nativities Around the World display at the Glencairn Museum with friends.




D attended circus.

D and J helped create and host J's 6th birthday party.




They also made lots of slime with a friend and sold it all at the MAHC Handmade Market.
