National Museum of the American Indian and the National Botanical Garden (135/180)

R went to parkour.

J went to ballet, hip hop, and tap.

D went to Circus.

Each kid made a (very indicative of personality) gingerbread "house".  These are in age order from oldest to youngest:

W read independently, and began working with LOF, which he found very frustrating.

R read independently, worked on multiplication facts, ETC, and Khan Academy math.

D read with support, used Handwriting Without Tears and ETC, and LOF.

J practiced reading, did Handwriting Without Tears, and played addition games.

We went to Washington DC and visited the National Museum of the American Indian and the National Botanical Garden.  I had forgotten how much W and R despise museums.  They may not have gotten a lot out of this visit but they did eat some native-to-the-Americas food and mostly enjoyed it.  W and D were most adventurous while R and J stuck with food they already know (chicken and fries.)

Everyone enjoyed the Botanical Gardens a lot more.  It was a beautiful day!

I read to the girls:
