Love Meters (180 days + 7 weeks)

R went to Parkour.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.

R took an Outschool class on Superhero Science: the Flash.

D went to Circus.

J went to Hip Hop and Ballet.

All the kids attended their religious education classes.  Here are R and D in school lunch cooking!


W and R worked with Life of Fred.  D and J played addition card games.

Talent Show (180 days + 6 weeks)

R went to parkour.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.  This was the first week of Spring II classes.  W is taking Publication (Year Book), Government, and Creative Writing.  R is taking School Lunch Cooking, Outdoor Games, and Book Club.  D is taking School Lunch Cooking, Outdoor Games, and Broadway Boot Camp.  J is taking Spanish, Junkyard Engineers, and Animal Talk.

D went to circus.

D and J both attended book clubs with friends.

J went to Hip Hop and Ballet.

J performed in the MAHC Talent Show and D displayed photographs.






All the kids attended their religious education classes.

W and R worked with LOF.  D and J played addition card games.

W read independently.  R read with support.  D mastered

Level 2 (180 + 5 weeks)

R went to Parkour.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.  Here is J dancing with her class there:



R took an Outschool class on Superhero Science: Ant-Man & The Wasp.

D went to Circus.  She has been told she can move up to Level 2 in Aerials and Acrobatics next session!

W babysat.

J went to hip hop and ballet.

All the kids attended their religious education classes.

W read independently.  R read some independently and some with support.  D and J practiced reading.  We journaled about

Teen Dance (180 + 4 weeks)

R went to parkour.

He also attended an Outschool class on sharks.

D went to circus.

W babysat.

J went to hip hop and ballet.

W and R went to the Teen Dance at MAHC.

Johnson House (180 + 3 weeks)

We went on a tour of Johnson House, a station on the Underground Railroad in Germantown.  We lived around the corner from this house for 5 years but never managed to get there.



R went to Parkour.  W completed his training and is now Adult and Pediatric CPR Certified.

D and J made pysanky eggs with friends.  R and W hung out with friends and took a long walk.

D and J went to the library with me.  They both enjoyed building with magnatiles.  In very characteristic fashion, D built organically and creatively.  Unfortunately her masterpiece fell apart just before she felt it was done and therefore before we got a picture.  J on the other hand started with a plan and created what she aimed for (a church):  


J went to ballet.

R made dinner for the family.

D went to Circus.

All the kids attended a service focused on evolution, Easter, and Earth Day, including live music and singing.

We celebrated spring at home by planting a lot of shrubbery, eating a great meal (pulled pork prepared by W!) and going for a walk with family.







W read independently.  R read some with support and some independently.  D practiced reading and mastered

We went for a hike to Devil's Pond:

D went to Circus.

J went to Hip Hop and Ballet.

Clothing Arts (180 + 1 week)

R went to parkour.

All the kids attended their MAHC classes.

W worked as a mother's helper for a family from MAHC.

R attended an Outschool class on Crystals and Gems -The Quartz Family.

D went to circus.

J went to hip hop and ballet.

All the kids attended their religious education classes.

D 'patched' her jeans using hot glue and fabric scraps!  She also learned to actually hem another pair of jeans she turned into jean shorts.
